I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to get a wooden train set. There is absolutely no reason to spend the $$ on a Thomas wooden train set. You can interchange w/ any of the other wooden tracks and my son uses the wooden thomas the trains on this one. Recommend the Maxim mountain accessory.
Customer Review: A toy to grow with
I purchaed this set for my 2 1/2 year old daughter after my niece (4) and Nephew (2) got one. After all the research my sister did, she found it was the best buy for the money. It may lack some of finer details of a much more expensive, more popular wooden train set/character brand out there, but the rails are completely compatible, just as sturdy and the kids don’t mind one bit.

And a side note to other parents, to avoid the mess of all the pieces, glue them down to the train table. Also, that way if you buy it for a younger child, they don’t get frusterated with it getting knocked down and you’re not constantly having to put back together for them.
